  "projectDescription": "The New Bedford Harbor Trustee Council provided funding for the restoration of degraded marine habitats on this conservation property.  The restoration of the East marsh entailed cleaning a marsh ditch that had filled with sediment, which prevented fresh water from draining from the marsh causing a mosquito breeding problem and the proliferation of invasive plant species on the marsh.  An excavator removed the material from the ditch and placed the material on mats that were then attached to a helicopter and airlifted to a nearby farm.",
