"projectDescription": "This project was proposed to restore the highly-degraded 80-acre Nonquitt Salt Marsh by enhancing tidal exchange with the marsh through the widening of an existing tidal inlet and undersized culvert structure. The New Bedford Harbor Trustee Council used case funds to perform a feasibility study and develop draft engineering plans and permit applications. The final plans, permits, and construction were performed by others using private funds. Construction was completed in December 2013.",
