  "projectDescription": "Hundreds of birds were injured by oil resulting from the 1993 Tampa Bay oil spill.  The Trustee Council for the incident selected a compensatory restoration project that addresses a significant mortality factor for pelicans and other wading birds - monofilament entanglement.  Save Our Seabirds will install signs on area bridges and fishing piers instructing anglers how to properly remove fishing hooks and monofilament from seabirds.  Both large and small signs will be installed at public and private fishing piers and boat ramps.  Large signs will have detailed instructions with photos on how to  capture and handle birds that have been hooked and instructions on how to properly remove the hook without further injuring the birds.  Small signs will provide key reminders so anglers do not have to walk back to the large signs.",
