  "projectDescription": "MA Division of Marine Fisheries oversees a program whereby the towns of Westport, Dartmouth and Fairhaven secured floating upwellers and small-sized quahog seed from commercial hatcheries for population enhancement of recreational shellfishing areas. A total of three B‐120 quahog seeding sites were established in Westport, Dartmouth and Fairhaven. Each town planted the upweller-grown seed quahogs at one or more sites within its town waters. These placement sites were typically closed to shellfishing for one or more years to allow for increasing recruitment to the quahog population.",
