  "projectDescription": "This project connected 1/2 mile of off-channel habitat, and restored over 1/2 mile of stream at the confluence of McLeod Creek and the North Fork Siuslaw River. This project addressed decreased lateral connectivity, altered riparian function, and lack of in-stream complexity, which are three of the major stresses limiting the recovery of Oregon Coast coho salmon. Multiple restoration techniques were used to create off-channel habitat, increase floodplain water storage capacity, improve in-stream habitat features such as spawning substrate, and increase stream shading and non-point source pollution reduction.",
