  "projectDescription": "The Kermit Creek Project lengthened the channel, added complexity, and restored hydrology that were impacted by ditching the creek to create pasture. Despite previous riparian and large wood enhancements, the underlying morphology was still a ditch and the hydrology and fluvial processes were not stable. This imbalance, coupled with an undersized road‐stream crossing culvert, impeded the extent and degree to which coho and other salmonids utilized Kermit Creek for spawning and winter rearing.  The project restored 8.82 acres of in-stream and adjacent wetland habitat and re‐opened 0.8 miles to full time fish passage, while enhancing 40 acres of riparian habitat. These actions improved the complexity of critical overwintering habitat for Oregon Coast coho and habitat in general for a number of other native fish species.",
