  "projectDescription": "The goals of this project were to reconnect Rock Creek with its floodplain and add large wood structures and riparian planting along 200 feet of the channel margins to create complex aquatic habitat. The project would directly benefit juvenile and adult coho salmon by creating vital off channel habitat units and areas of velocity refuge during high flows. The 3 acres of plantings will reduce stream temperature through shading, and ultimately be a long‐term source of wood recruitment. Because of landowner concerns, the bank reshaping and LWD portions of this project will not implement, but the riparian planting was completed.",
