"projectDescription": "The goal of this project was to develop designs and to greatly improve fish passage for CCC coho salmon and steelhead trout at two migration barriers on Gulch C, tributary to the Noyo River, at the Skunk Train Railway and an adjacent timber road just upstream. Implementation of the barrier removal in 2020 and subsequent crossing replacements now allow for unimpeded salmonid migration to 6,500 feet (1.2 miles) of high-quality habitat in Gulch C. Additional design consideration was given to the potential to restore the upstream habitat to provide coho overwintering and rearing habitat. Removal of these barriers now provides passage for all salmonid life stages.",
