  "projectDescription": "The North Carolina Coastal Federation built a living shoreline at Camp Albemarle, a publicly owned 29-acre camp and retreat center located adjacent to Bogue Sound near Broad Creek, NC. The Center experienced loss of salt marsh and oyster habitat due to high rates of erosion from storms, boat wakes, and sea level rise. This project stabilized 300 linear feet of eroding salt marsh shoreline through the construction of a marsh-toe-revetment, and resulted in the restoration of 0.04 acres of oyster reef habitat.",
