  "projectDescription": "Ducks Unlimited Mountain View Restoration Project will restore 710 acres of former salt evaporation ponds in the South San Francisco Bay to estuarine tidal marsh, high marsh, and upland habitat as part of the 15,100 acres South Bay Salt Ponds Restoration Project, the largest restoration project on the West Coast. The project includes activities that will provide measurable habitat improvements, such as restored wetland and channel habitats, greater habitat connectivity, and improved protection to Bay communities in the face of extreme weather and changing environmental conditions, as well as increased wetland capacity to persist under a broad array of sea level rise projections. In addition, the restored habitat will support sustainable fisheries and contribute to the recovery of protected resources such as steelhead and Green Sturgeon.",
