"projectDescription": "The Yakama Nation’s Teanaway Community Forest Aquatic Restoration Project is restoring floodplain connectivity in three miles of stream in the Teanaway Community Forest Trust in Washington State. The project will place locally harvested wood in strategic locations within the stream. This restoration will greatly enhance instream complexity. Species that will benefit include threatened Mid-Columbia steelhead trout, other treaty-reserved fish species such as coho and chinook salmon, and threatened bull trout. Additionally, the project will involve thinning upland forests, which will reduce the risks of catastrophic fires in treated areas.",
