"projectDescription": "Dutch Henry Creek is a tributary to the North Fork Navarro River, in coastal Mendocino County, California. Dutch Henry Creek has approximately 3.72 miles of high quality stream habitat, however a barrier that impeded fish passage existed 0.05 miles upstream of the confluence of Dutch Henry Creek and the NF Navarro River. A geotechnical report and 65% intermediate design plans were developed for this site; however, in March 2019, a major storm event caused the Masonite Road crossing at Dutch Henry Creek to completely fail. Due to the importance of maintaining access to the property, the landowner created an emergency crossing replacement with an existing railcar bridge at the project site in absence of designs. Agency representatives determined that this course of action was acceptable as conditions at the failed crossing site no longer pose a barrier to fish passage.",
