The major activities for this award included producing and planting 1,500 million hatchery produced seed oysters over three years.  In 2016, the first 819 million spat were planted (281 million in Little Choptank River; 213 million in Tred Avon River; 325 in Harris Creek) across 107 acres of new (re-established) reefs and 164 acres of enhanced reefs (the enhanced reefs were initially seeded in 2012 and 2013, and, as planned, received their second, smaller planting in 2017, under this award).",
