  "projectDescription": "This project will relocate nuisance beaver that would otherwise be euthanized into riparian areas of the North and South Fork Skykomish where beavers were once common but are not currently present.  Beavers are shown to stabilize hydrologic regimes, increase channel complexity and impound fine sediments at a much larger scale than individual restoration projects.  Introduction of beavers will restore salmon habitat and processes absent for over a century, increase the watershed's resilience to climate change, and protect Tulalip Tribal usual and accustomed hunting and fishing grounds that are vital to tribal culture.",
