By modifying a nursery's irrigation infrastructure and water pump, improving water diversion timing, and expanding an existing storage pond, NOAA and partners helped save up to 25 acre-feet of water (more than 8 million gallons) from diversion during the driest part of the summer season (from July 15 to November 30) and increased flow in the stream by 0.16 - 0.20 cfs, The NOAA Recovery Outline for Central California Coast Steelhead prioritizes efforts to improve streamflow and over-summer survival for San Gregorio Creek and other streams in the vicinity.",
