Currently, Russell Brook supports populations of federally endangered CCC coho salmon and federally threatened NC steelhead trout throughout the project area.  Russell Brook is a major tributary of the mainstem Big River, an historically important anadromous fish bearing stream that drains directly to the Pacific Ocean in Mendocino County, CA.",
