  "projectDescription": "Project partners at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Ocean Conservancy, and Dog River Clearwater Revival improved the Dog River and Fowl River Watersheds estuarine and submerged habitats through the removal of derelict vessels at 90 sites.  Volunteers participated in initial debris assessment surveys that were used to prioritize vessel removals, vessel location surveys, and re-vegetating several locations that were prioritized based on biological evaluations.  Further, the project team implemented a public awareness campaign on the proper mooring of vessels during storms and disposal of unwanted boats to prevent future habitat impairment.",
