  "projectDescription": "This project removed one dam along Jordan Creek as part of a larger effort to restore the Jordan Creek watershed through dam removal.   Initial the grant application listed the removal of four dams to facilitate fish passage; improve water quality, provide post-removal monitoring; and remove serious public safety hazards. The first targeted dam was known as the Jordan Creek Park Dam. Its removal was facilitated by an earlier grant (RCDB 2995). The Jordan Creek Park Dam was removed in the final weeks of July 2013. Channel regrading and floodplain enhancement below the dam was completed on August 27, 2013 in part with this grant and the earlier grant. In addition, this grant removed the next upstream barrier known as the MacArthur Dam, an active USGS Gauge Station Weir (Trenton Style Weir). The removal was completed in 2013 with the assistance and guidance of the local USGS gauge station manager.  A pressure transducer replaced the standard gauge station.",
