  "projectDescription": "This partnership will be national in scale with emphasis on climate-smart coastal habitat restoration in the Great Lakes and Chesapeake Bay regions. In the Chesapeake Bay-NWF will work with the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office to set the stage for climate change impacts and adaptation strategies through scenario building in the Chesapeake Bay.  This effort will help ensure NOAA’s investments are protected and effective over the long-term in the face of climate change. Through this project in partnership with NOAA, NWF will identify climate change impacts for one or more sub watersheds within the Chesapeake Bay region and develop recommendations for adapting restoration and conservation practices to address those impacts.  Through the use of an expert panel process to identify the sub watersheds of focus as well as develop and refine the climate adaptation recommendations.  NWF in coordination with NOAA and the expert panel will use the collected information to develop recommendations for potential climate change adaptation strategies that could be integrated into existing restoration and conservation efforts.   Based on these efforts, NWF will develop a report on climate change adaptation strategies for NOAA within the Chesapeake Bay.",
