"projectDescription": "The overall objective of this project is to restore spawning and rearing habitat for federally listed coho salmon, Chinook salmon and steelhead trout. The funds requested in this proposal will assist with implementing site specific prescriptions to reduce sediment delivery at 6 prioritized sites. All sites will be decommissioned. Treatment of the identified sites will prevent 4,609 yd3 (or over 460 dump trucks worth) of sediment from entering approximately 6,000 feet salmonid habitat within the North Fork of Standley Creek. Additionally, decommissioning of these sites will together reconnect 10,800 feetof stream, 3,800 feet of which is identified as Class 2 salmonid habitat. The identified sites are part of Standley Creek Watershed Restoration Project, Phase IV which is part of a larger, watershed-scale, multi-phase sediment reduction project. The total estimated sediment savings estimated for Standley Creek Watershed Restoration Phase IV is 5,120 cubic yards. Over 4,609 yd3 of that 5,120 will be saved at the sites identified in this proposal for Partnership funds.",
