"projectDescription": "Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association working on land owned by the Whatcom Land Trust, restored a 1800 foot floodplain channel in the South Fork Nooksack floodplain. The stream was moved out of a ditch along a railroad right-of-way with poor habitat, that was receiving annual pesticide applications. The project supports the objectives of the Nooksack Salmon Recovery Planning effort, and has direct benefit for rearing juvenile coho, and important tribal and recreational fishery.",
