  "projectDescription": "This was a small-scale community-led restoration project within the traditional boundaries of the Wailuku ahupua'a near Baldwin Beach Park in northern Maui. 0.1 acres were restored. The project reduced shoreline beach erosion from heavy recreational use and potential impacts from a planned installation of adjacent rock revetment wall by planting native vegetation along 700 feet of shoreline.  The project also installed 1000 square feet of limu manauea beds fronting the Maui Beach Hotel to introduce community members to the importance of environmental conservation.",
