The goal of the Loko Ea Fishpond Habitat Restoration Project is to conduct habitat and fishpond restoration with community collaboration while integrating traditional Hawaiian knowledge. The project included monthly community workdays in which the general public assisted with removal of non-native vegetation and other marine species to increase functionality of the marine habitat. The project restored 7 acres through the removal of 8 tons of invasive species.",
