  "projectDescription": "Terminal 105 Restoration is one of several sites where estuarine habitat is being restored in the Duwamish Waterway in Seattle, Washington. Over 95% of estuarine habitat was lost, and populations of estuarine dependant species declined dramatically in the Duwamish River during the development of the Port of Seattle industrial area. People for Puget Sound, with funding from the NOAA partnership with Restore America's Estuaries, monitors and adaptively manages Turning Basin in order to expand salt marsh and vegetation coverage, reduce invasive species invasion, and assess habitat functions. The project was implemented with support from King Conservation District, Student Conservation Organization, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Earthcorps, and local volunteers.",
