  "projectDescription": "NOAA Fisheries, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and Restore America's Estuaries partnered to create more than 8700 square feet of tidal wetlands and restore 275 linear feet of shoreline and buffer at the Bellevue ferry landing in Maryland. The wetland was created using a minimal amount of fill to regrade the eroding bank. An innovative natural shoreline protection technique was employed using biologs planted with native vegetation. The wetland was then planted by volunteers using native wetland grasses. The upland slope was stabilized with biologs and planted with native shrubs.",
