  "projectDescription": "The Clark Pond fishway is a small pool and fishway associated with a culvert at the first dam on the Indian River in Milford, Connecticut. Several dams failed under the pressure of higher flows from storms. Save the Sound, with support from NOAA's Restoration Center, Restore America's Estuaries, Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, American Rivers, Town of Milford Conservation Commission, and the Milford Striped Bass Club repaired the fishway in using galvanized steel components to replace wooden features. The modified fishway opened four acres of Clark Pond to alewife, blueback herring, American eel, hickory shad, and white perch.",
