  "projectDescription": "The Duwamish Estuary has lost over 95% of its historical tidal wetlands during the development of the Port of Seattle, Washington.  Turning Basin is one of a series of habitat enhancement projects in the industrialized Duwamish Estuary implemented by a range of state and federal partners.  People for Puget Sound provided stewardship of the site following construction to control introduced species, replant, and protect marsh from goose herbivory.  The project was implemented as part of the Sound Stewardship Program, in collaboration with King Conservation District, Student Conservation Organization, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Earthcorps, and local volunteers.",
