"projectDescription": "Using funding from a partnership between NOAA and the California Conservation Corps (CCC), this project improved habitat for endangered Southern California Steelhead Trout along the Santa Ynez River in Santa Barbara County, CA. CCC corps members used native plants and bioengineered willow structures to direct flow away from the bank and provide stable riparian habitat for steelhead in the Santa Ynez River. A bioengineering workshop was also conducted during the project to train other restoration practitioners.",
