"projectDescription": "Berry Gulch, located on Mendocino Redwood Company land, is a tributary to the Little North Fork Big River and is located in the coastal sub-basin of the Big River watershed, southeast of Ft. Bragg, CA. Past logging practices within the Big River basin have resulted in a lack of pool-forming large woody debris (LWD) in the channel and has, over time, led to a decreased quality and quantity of spawning and rearing habitat for salmonids. This project enhanced 48 sites by adding 74 pieces of LWD (65 logs and 9 rootwads) over a 5,820 foot section of Berry Gulch.",
