  "projectDescription": "The Wild Fish Conservancy enhanced the distribution of river flood water across the Dosewallips Estuary.  In this final project the Conservancy removed armoring and construction of engineered log jams causing increased river flow down side channels and delta distributaries.  River deltas provide rearing habitat for threatened Puget Sound Chinook and Hood Canal summer chum.  Distribution of river flood water across the delta dilutes marine salinity giving salmon more space in which to shift from freshwater to saltwater physiology, and sustains delta marshes with river sediments.",
