  "projectDescription": "This project reduced the amount of sediment entering the Hakipuu Stream by removing invasive vegetation along the riparian zone adjacent to lower sections of the stream. Once invasive species were removed, they were chipped on-site and used as erosion controlling mulch, before native plants were installed. Additionally, in two upstream headwater spring areas, invasive were removed, natives planted and enclosure fencing established to protect vegetation from wild pigs and domestic cattle. 1.8 acres were restored.",
