  "projectDescription": "This project succeeded in developing engineering plans and designs and fostering the removal of three dams within the Little Lehigh and Jordan Creek, tributaries to the Lehigh River in Allentown PA.  The removal of these dams opened approximately 8 miles of habitat for resident fish species and with the potential to pass migratory species as American shad and alewife that are partially blocked from upstream access by the dams and failing fish-ways at the Easton and Chain dams further downstream in Easton PA..  The removal and restoration of one dam on Little Lehigh Creek and two dams on Jordan Creek also improved recreational opportunities and safety within the public parks adjacent to the river within the city of Allentown, PA.",
