  "projectDescription": "This project involved youth and adult volunteers in an educational program to restore 1,300 lineal feet of habitat along Quartz Creek and 8.75 acres of bank habitat surrounding Kenai Lake. The efforts on Quartz Creek resulted in bank stabilization and the transformation of a gravel pit into a pond system. This restoration, the planting of native vegetation and added habitat will benefit the salmon and trout species as well as adding to the general productivity of the system.",
