"projectDescription": "Parts of the channel were widened, and large woody debris installed to increase pool habitat and create natural channel meanders. Grade control structures were introduced to recruit gravel to improve spawning habitat, and bank-shaving and off-channel wetland creation to increase the stream's capacity to handle increased volumes of water, as well as allow migrating fish a location to transition between salt and fresh water. Volunteers from local schools and scout troops, with the help of the onsite park ranger, further enhanced water quality in Lund's Gulch with the planting of native riparian vegetation.",
