The goals of the Mill Creek restoration project included: to complete a resident driven restoration of Chelsea's last remaining salt marsh, creating aa model redevelopment that is environmentally sustainable, to increase vitality of an estuarine system, and to create opens space along the Mill Creek to establish access to Chelsea's waterfront. As part of this effort with funding from the Posavina Oil Spill settlement they completed the restoration of the uppermost area of salt marsh in the Mill Creek.",
