The project team conducted a feasibility study to determine what type of passage design would allow continued water diversions to historical canals and the passage of fish to historic spawning areas. Cost was estimated, potential impacts were identified and alternative methods were assessed for the removal of the two dams.  Non-federal funds for this project were contributed from the Palmerton Superfund Natural Resources Damages Settlement.",
