  "projectDescription": "People for Puget Sound supported feasibility work and community outreach in support of restoration of a historical tidal lagoon at Kayak Point County Park, Snohomish County, Washington.  The site offers a rare opportunity to restore a lost barrier lagoon in the vicinity of the Stillaguamish River Delta. Barrier lagoon habitat strongly supports rearing of threatened Puget Sound Chinook salmon.  However, the results of the feasibility study indicated that the local community was unwilling to reduce park use, and if the lagoon were small enough to accommodate park use the lagoon was unlikely to remain open.  Some revegetation was supported as part of the agreement.",
