  "projectDescription": "With the significant help of volunteers, this project restored 2.75 acres of intertidal oyster reef habitat that had been impacted by wakes from recreational boating. This project is an extension of previous successful phases of this project.  Efforts targeted oyster reefs with dead shell areas that have developed during the past 60 years. These dead areas were first leveled to the appropriate elevation and then covered with oyster restoration mats which were created by attaching oyster shells to aquaculture grade mesh with cable ties.",
