"projectDescription": "This project removes a low-flow crossing which acts as a total barrier to fish passage, and is the last major manmade barrier in the Gobernador tributary. Removal of the Widdoes crossing opened approximately 1.5 miles of habitat until the next natural barrier, a series of boulders in the upper watershed. The primary species of benefit is the federally endangered Southern California steelhead trout. Implementation began in Fall 2011 and planting was completed in Spring 2012.",
