  "projectDescription": "The Geos Institure and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, in partnership with NOAA's Restoration Center, the FishAmerica Foundation and Ecotrust Geos Institute completed the Little Butte Creek project in October 2011. Historically Little Butte Creek had been strightened and channelized and the goal of the project was to remeander the sream into it's former path. The newly reoccupied section of Little Butte Creek was improved by creating alcoves, engineered riffles, and vegetating the banks with native plants. This project improved habitat conditions in approximately a mile of Little Butte Creek for ESA listed coho salmon and Chinook salmon.",
