  "projectDescription": "The Marine Conservation Alliance Foundation (MCAF) worked with in 19 different locations from Prince of Wales Island at the southern tip of Alaska to Little Diomede Island at the northern end of the state. Using funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, this project cleaned over 390 tons of debris. Activities used over 18,000 man hours hiring people out of local villages and communities to restore the Alaska shoreline, home to numerous seals, sea lions, whales, birds and other species, many of which are protected under the endangered species act. Projects varied across the state from large scale community projects to the removal of the F/V Ocean Clipper, a shipwreck situated in the middle of a fur seal rookery on St. Paul Island.",
