  "projectDescription": "The Delta Ponds became disconnected hydrologically from the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon and gravel mining resulted in a series of steep-sided ponds that became overgrown with invasive vegetation. The restoration project reconnected the river to 2.2 miles of off-channel habitat, createed 4.6 acres of riparian habitat, and enhanced 16.4 acres of riparian and emergent wetland habitat, which created good quality off-channel habitat for juvenile Chinook salmon to take refuge during the winter months.",
