Estuary rearing supports recovery of Chinook salmon populations.  The Leque Island project will exceed the 10-year recovery goal for the Stillaguamish Estuary.  NOAA Restoration Center began supporting Leque Island Restoration with early feasibility work in 2008.  Leque Island is part of series of large-scale river delta restoration projects in our Puget Sound focus areas.",
