  "projectDescription": "The goal of this project is to remove the Maxwell Pond Dam on the Black Brook in Manchester, NH, a tributary to the Merrimack River.  The project will restore approximately 8 stream miles (total) of fisheries habitat in the Merrimack River watershed, allowing anadromous fish access to historic upstream spawning habitats for the first time since 1900.  Target species include sea lamprey, American eel, American shad, river herring, and Atlantic salmon.  Project partners include the City of Manchester, Trout Unlimited, NHDES, NH Fish & Game, AMerican Rivers, USFWS, and NOAA.",
