"projectDescription": "Using funding from a partnership between NOAA and the California Conservation Corps (CCCs), this project improved instream habitat for endangered Southern California Steelhead Trout in Solistice Creek, which drains to the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles County, CA. Through this project, CCC corps members were trained to use techniques such as grip hoisting and anchoring to install an instream large woody debris (LWD) structure to create pool habitat and cover for steelhead. The project not only improves fish habitat in Solstice Creek, but will also serve as a demonstration project for the use of LWD techniques elsewhere in Southern California.",
