  "projectDescription": "The Morro Bay Foundation, supported by a partnership between NOAA and the California Conservation Corps (CCC), undertook a project to control non-native Sacramento pikeminnow (Ptychocheilus grandis) along 20 miles of Chorro Creek and its tributaries, which drain into Morro Bay off the coast of San Luis Obispo County, CA. Pikeminnow compete with native endangered south-central coast steelhead trout for habitat and food, and may predate on juvenile steelhead. Through this project, CCC crew members were trained to assist Foundation staff with net setting, hand netting, data collection, and euthanization of non-native fish.",
