  "projectDescription": "Peveto Beach is a Gulf Ecological Management Site which not only provides habitat to many species of wildlife and plants, but also serves as a protective barrier to adjoining inland habitats. This project increased the amount and quality of beach dune habitat available so that the number of wildlife and plants living on the beach could increase. This project created 75,000 square feet of dune habitat and stabilized two miles of beach with sand fencing and vegetation planting, and also protected the marsh area behind dunes.",
