  "projectDescription": "The NOAA Restoration Center, in partnership with the Kenai Watershed Forum, is conducting the restoration of two priority stream crossings along the Kenai Peninsula Borough Right-of-Way (ROW) known as the North Road Extension.  Two crossings (Leaf Creek and Bishop Creek) are most in need of restoration; these sites are being improved for fish passage, recreational use and pipeline security/integrity.  Project goals include reducing sediment input into streams and wetlands, reducing the number of ATVs driving through the area, and removing the artificial barriers to salmonid and resident fish migration.  These sites were selected in 2006/2007 after consideration of over 300 anadromous streams on the Kenai Peninsula.",
