"projectDescription": "In 2009, The Nature Conservancy implemented a wood augmentation program to \"seed\" the creek with unanchored wood pieces with the goal of accelerating and supporting natural wood transport, accumulation and storage processes in Inman Creek. Specific goals of the project included restoring and enhancing habitat for threatened and endangered salmonids by enhancing wood acumulation, increasing cover from predators and influencing local stream processes increasing natural scour and deepening existing pools. Nearly 65 trees or large wood segments were added to the lower two mile of Inman Creek, increasing wood volume by 202%. Effectiveness monitoring showed 90% retention of wood added after 2010's high winter flows. Monitoring also showed positive trends in shelter rating, going from 35.4 to 60.6, a 71% increase.",
