  "projectDescription": "Within a 32 acres site, a 0.09-acre intertidal bench was constructed along the north bank of Hylebos Creek and at the south end of the overall area. A portion of the bank was cut back, lowering the elevation of the bank to allow for periodic flooding of the area during the incoming tide. This action increased the aquatic habitat area on the site, and also provided additional intertidal habitat for juvenile salmonid and avian species. Approximately 0.59 acres of riparian buffer area along Hylebos Creek was relocated and restored. Two planting schemes were proposed within the restored riparian buffer, and consisted of a mix of tree and shrub species.",
